Don't motivate on an empty stomach...

I'm a bit behind in my post-games, but I wanted to make sure everyone was properly motivated for tonight. I should warn you all, these were made on an empty stomach, which might not be the best idea...

The first one is the best I can do right now for "eavesed"- it doesn't have Eaves in it and Pav is really just doing his regular amazing stretches, but it sorta looks like it fits, right?

This next one is for most of you who don't love the Big Rig quite as much as TPL Mom... I've said it before, Nick Lidstrom can see the future and knows what is going to happen before the game even starts. I think he was questioning his vision at this point, although he likes the hats he sees us wearing in the 2nd.

And now, especially for TPL Mom, I can finally use one of my Ericsson pictures. Not that I have a bunch of those or anything... ahem, moving on...

The victory over the Wild was powered in part by a sign reading "Johan, jag vill ha små bebismulor med deg" which, for those of you who aren't Andy, means "Johan, I wanna make small baby mules with you." Dena held it up during warm-ups and Franzie saw it and laughed his butt off. So did Kronner and Lils, as you will see in my post-game when it finally comes out. For right now, we have poor Hank wanting to know why no one has a sign professing their desire to make small bearded babies with him...

Finally, this last picture has been burning a hole in my pocket. I'm not going to give it any sort of description, so you get to decide for yourself what is actually going on. This last one is dedicated to the Town Pump gang, especially for having to suffer through that DJ :)

H2H Fun

I meant to do this a few days ago, but I thought I'd share some pics from Friday's parties before and after the game. I have still have to gather some pics for the post-game, so that will have to wait. Not much commentary for these, partly because I'm not sure who everyone is... but they're all part of the Wings family and, thus, deserve to be on here. If you have any pictures from the pregame party or from any other H2H gathering that you want to see up here, e-mail me at aneuieperspective@gmail.com and I'll be happy to post them!

Starting with the pregame party, here I am with the amazing Brian and Natalie of The Scrappy Octopus. They are seriously the coolest kids ever.

If you read TSO, which you should, you know that Dena and Natalie are soulmates. Here they are when they finally met...

Next is quite possibly the greatest shirt ever created (by Natalie), sported by Petrella from The Production Line.

And now for the man that inspired this whole crazy event... here's Herm. With Chris Hollis.

And now with @jennyquarx...

And here's Herm in the box, waiting for warm-ups to begin...

Ok, now for the post-game gathering...

Here's Petrella and Serven around 2 am...

George Malik, Voox and some more of the Wings family...

I'm sorry to the guy in this picture who isn't Brian, I cannot remember your name to save my life...

The guys from The Triple Deke

Some lovely ladies, originally from the Toledo area...

Nursenitz, Petrella, and me...

And finally, one more with the Chief... sort of...

Happy H2H Day/Fight Night Anniversary!

We've all said it, it's an historic day in Hockeytown. Twitter (especially @mserven and @H2Hockeytown) will keep you updated on all the H2H celebrations and Andy over at FightNight has a great recap of just that, the Fight Night at the Joe that occurred 13 years ago today. I really wish I had a picture of my own of D-Mac, but I don't so it will have to wait. Later you can expect lots of pics from H2H, but for now we have the standard motivation :)

This first picture is just too great not to post. I have no idea what Tuzzi was doing when NurseNitz captured him on camera at the St. Louis game, but it has got to be one of the funniest poses I've ever seen.

And now for the inspiration. Since I FINALLY get to meet Natalie and Brian of TSO, I'm starting out with one of Homer.

Next, for everyone who gets to the warm-ups mainly to watch the stretching, there's this picture... because EVERYONE knows it's important to stretch.

Not quite sure how this fits in, but I have a ton of Ville Leino pics that are just too funny not to use. The guy snuck into at least half my pictures during some games, how rude is that? I was aiming at Lidstrom, not at you, Ville! Anyways, this could explain some things about his play...

A lot of stills look like the guys are dancing. I think it looks like Stuie is doing just that and Drapes is checking out his moves in this picture.

I know I used this picture in my post-game a few days ago, but this is different, I swear! Plus who doesn't love the brick wall?

Zetterberg's line has been on fire lately, but the Mule looks hungry and I'm hoping he makes it happen tonight.

Finally, especially for Petrella over at The Production Line, here is Mantuzzi.

Emergency Inspiration!

Work all day has left me unable to make some proper motivators and get them up in time for the puck to drop, but it seems our boys still need some inspiration. I'm scrapping the bottom of the barrel right now, I promise to have some fresh, new ones up for Friday. Here's the best of what I've got:

Fil apparently needs some new hockey pants, or maybe these are just lucky...

Ok, this next picture is definitely not mine (I think I got it from Pav's website) but it cracks me up anyways. I got to see one of the charity softball games against the Dearborn police way back in the day and thought it was amazing. Of course, it was another Russian 13 that made me laugh in that game...

I really want to watch the feed, so that's all for now. Hope it's enough!

Wings vs Pens pictures

Last night's game was amazing. I've seen some great things at the Joe this year, but I'm pretty sure that was by far my favorite game I've ever been to. I don't care that my throat hurts from screaming various things at the ice/fans, it was totally worth it. A really solid effort by pretty much everyone and we got to put Cindy in her place. What more could a girl want?

Today I asked for suggestions on twitter and Jenn and Dena both spoke up, so some of their favs will grace my page today. Since I was already planning a tribute to Kronner to celebrate finally meeting Dena at the Joe, I'll start with her other request, Franzen.

You all loved the mulestache. I loved the mulestache and I still hope the mulestache will make a come back. Even if it doesn't, this picture really emphasizes it over the rest of his beard, so we can all pretend it's back.

Some might say it's not very fair to stick Franzie with Fil, but the Mule is man enough to admit how pretty his teammate is and, frankly, he's too cool to care. Both had an awesome game last night and both get their pic up today.

Somehow I missed Fil's birthday in my pregame on Saturday, plus he got a goal last night so he gets two pictures.

Jenn asked to see more of Zetterberg, and I'm happy to comply. Here he is acknowledging the crowd after being announced as the top star of the night.

Going backwards a bit, here's another of Hank with his Euro Twin...

Since he's my favorite current forward, how about another of Pav? This one has him flashing a little more leg while warming up.

I'm really loving Drew Miller right now. Not only does he come from an awesome hockey family, he's playing some really great hockey himself. Last night he was scrappy and effective and he's always fun to shoot. Here he is with Pav.

I agree with Brian over at TSO, Meech did a good job with the ice time he had last night and I'm really liking him as a forward. He's never been featured here before, so why not give him some credit?

And now for some d-men who got to play defense last night...

If you just ignore number 29 in the middle, this is a pretty good picture.

I never really noticed the background on the back of Jimmy's mask. I think it's really appropriate, especially after last night.

And now for the Kronwall tribute...

He looked like a very happy Swede last night, so no angry Viking pictures...

Kronner is second only to Pav when it comes to stretching, so it would be irresponsible of me to leave out a stretching picture.

This last one is just for Dena, but I think the rest of you will like it too :)

Wings vs Pens pregame

Most of these are from the fabulous NurseNitz as a special guest contribution. In fact, only this motivator was made by me and it's inspired by one she made when we thought Stuart wouldn't be in the lineup tonight.

And now, motivation from Manda.

And another guy who knows how to finish off a game...

Mule and I agree, free curly fries would be nice tomorrow.

And, finally, there's been some talk (between my cousin and Dena) of a sign I made expressing a desire for small baby mules that I think all Wings fans share- here's the proof (Andy assures me it does in fact say "Johan, I wanna make small baby mules with you")

Let's make Cindy cry tonight boys

Really short Wings vs Vancouver pregame...

Family birthday part in about an hour, so I'll have to keep this short yet again...

In honor of his 1401st game, let's all take some advice for Nick.
